How to use Monster Mash

The creation process in Monster Mash is streamlined into three intuitive modes:

1. Draw Mode: Begin by sketching your character part by part. Use closed strokes for the main body and open strokes for limbs, which automatically attach to the main form. The drawing order determines the depth of each part. You can select, duplicate, and delete parts easily. There is also a 'Redraw' option to alter the shape of an existing part without changing its depth order. For texturing, you can import a template image to trace over, which will then be applied as the model's texture.
2. Inflate Mode: This mode provides a quick preview of your 2D sketch as a 3D model. You can rotate and pan the camera to inspect your creation from all angles. It also allows you to interact with the model by clicking and dragging its parts, offering a playful way to test its structure.
3. Animate Mode: Bring your character to life by placing control pins on its body. Simply click to add a pin and drag it to create a motion path. To create a full animation cycle, press the record button and move the pins. The first recorded motion sets the length of the animation cycle. You can record movements for multiple pins, and the system automatically synchronizes them. The resulting animation is vertex-based and can be exported.

Projects can be saved locally or exported. You can export the current frame as a Wavefront .obj file (with textures) or export the entire animation as a .glb (glTF) file, which can be imported into 3D software like Blender.
